Need to change a meeting you can’t attend? Quickly propose a new time in Google Calendar

If someone has organized a meeting for a time and date that doesn’t suit, you can propose a new meeting time as soon as the invite arrives in your inbox. This Google Calendar feature is a huge timesaver and allows you to get things arranged quickly and easily and improve productivity.

Follow these steps:

  • In Calendar > click the event you’d like to rearrange
  • Click the arrow in the right-hand side > ⤊
  • You’ll now see the option ‘Propose a new time’

To rearrange your meeting, a proposal will open on the left-hand side so you can go ahead and reschedule the meeting for a time more suitable.
