A simple setting in Drive interface lets you tweak the way folders & files are presented.

In Google Drive you can change the setting in the UI to show as comfortable, cozy or compact.

There’s a similar setting in Gmail too.

In Drive:

  • Head over to the Settings Cog Wheel (top Right of screen)
  • Click Settings
  • In the pop-up window see Density
  • Select from comfortable, cozy or compact

It’s best to have a play with each setting and see which suits you best.

Compact gives more data but less white space between the lines; comfortable gives max whitespace; while cozy is somewhere in between.

You might choose different settings on different computers, such a s large Desktop Monitor or a smaller Laptop screen.
