It’s easy to miss important conversations in the new Google Chat if you have an active room with lots of conversations going on


Don’t let your conversations get lost in Chat. Follow this handy trick:

If you start a new conversation with a bold headline by using an asterix’s around your word *insert text* you’ll be able to find a particular thread by the bold conversation name, rather than losing it amongst several different chats.

Giving a bold name to your chat means it will stand out amongst other chats in the room so everyone can find it and contribute to the same thread rather than several people starting a new chat about the same topic.

And here’s another quick tip, Shift-Enter starts a new line without posting the chat window content before you are ready.
