Sharing your Google Photos with others just got even better!

Use Overdrive to share your Google Photos in a fun slideshow, helping to bring your photos to life. And not only that, using Overdrive to display your photos means you can share your albums and photos with a large audience if you wish, instead of having to share your albums with individuals.

Overdrive is a G Suite site builder (and is also the power behind G Suite Tips) so all you need to get started is your Google Drive and G Suite content and it’s even free to set up!

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in with Google on Overdrive Central

  1. Add a new site


  1. Once your site is created (it only takes a few seconds), open it and use the Page Builder on the right side to drag and drop a Google Photos tile.

  1. Click on the cog icon ⚙️ on the Google Photos tile and select the album you wish to share.

  1. Go back to the tile settings ⚙️ and choose how you wish to display your photos. For the example below, we picked the Carousel view. You can also tweak other settings depending on which view option you choose.

  1. Don’t forget to click Save Setting from the right top of the page and your Google Photos showcase is ready to go!

To invite users to your site, go to the Site Menu ⚙️ and choose User Settings. Enter an email address on each line - or copy and paste from a list. Check the box to send an email invitation to each user. Find out more about User Settings on Overdrive sites here.
