Use this quick and simple tip to edit and extract images from your Google Drive files

If you’re a regular Google Drive user, in particular Docs and Slides, you will have come across an obstacle when needing to download images as there’s no functionality to save or download them within your chosen file.

Here’s a quick and easy way to edit and download your images.

Within your chosen file:

  1. Right-click and copy the image you want to download
  2. Open a Google Drawing > https://docs.google.com/drawings/create (or open from within Drive)
  3. Paste the image in a Google Drawing
  4. If necessary, reposition, resize or crop the image
  5. Once you’re happy choose: > File > Download as > Image
  6. You’ll find your images within your downloads
